Preamble

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform users of the website www.explorates.com:

2 - Personal data collected and processed in connection with browsing the Site

2.1 - Data collected

The personal data collected in the course of our activities are as follows:
  • IP address;
  • Internet service provider;
  • location;
  • last name and first name;
  • job title;
  • address;
  • phone number;
  • e-mail.
The collection and processing of these data serve the following purposes:
  • processing and responding to user messages;
  • managing commercial relationships that may arise from user messages;
  • contract management;
  • customer account management;
  • service quality monitoring;
  • statistics;
  • sending newsletters;
  • sending commercial and promotional information based on your preferences;
  • complying with current or forthcoming regulatory requirements.

2.2 - How data are collected

When you use the Site, the following data are collected automatically:

  • location of the user's device.
Other personal data are collected when you carry out the following actions on the Site:
  • last name, first name, address, and phone number when sending messages to the Explorates team, for contract management, and for customer account management.
  • last name, first name, and e-mail for sending newsletters or for marketing activities.
Personal data are retained by the data controller under reasonable security conditions for a period of 3 years.
The company may retain certain personal data beyond the periods stated above in order to fulfil its legal or regulatory obligations.

The Explorates website is hosted by Amazon Web Services, Tour Carpe Diem, 31 place des Corolles 92098, Paris-La Défense Cedex.

2.4 - Transfer of data to third parties

Data may be transferred to our partners, listed below:
  • Amazon Web Services (hosting);
  • PostHog (analytics);
  • Stripe (payment);
  • Axeptio (cookies).

2.5 - Cookie policy

If you have an account on Explorates and you log in to the Site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to save your login information and screen preferences. A login cookie lasts for two days, and a screen options cookie lasts for one year. If you select "Remember me", your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

5 - Conditions for amending the privacy policy

The publisher of the Explorates website reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in order to ensure it remains compliant with applicable law.
Any such modifications shall not affect purchases previously made on the site, which remain subject to the Policy in force at the time of purchase and as accepted by the user when confirming the purchase.
Users are invited to review this Privacy Policy each time they use our services, without any formal prior notice being required.
